With mattress's getting larger and thicker, the design specification
for this mattress compression unit was power and strength. Power
to effortlessly compress the mattress for tufting. Strength, built
within the frame work, to reliably withstand the constant forces imposed upon
it.
With an opening width of 400mm, and with 4 pneumatic cylinders
capable of exerting a pressure that will squeeze even the most resilient mat
into submission, it is more than able to accept virtually any mattress that is
offered to it.
Fitted with substantial pressure rail's and optional adjustable
tufting guide's, both of which can be easily positioned, the tuft's can be
inserted accurately, time and time again, according to the size and
specification of the mattress.
The operation of the unit is controlled exclusively with pneumatics,
requiring no connection to an electrical power source. Control of the
machine is given to the operator via a control box positioned for safety
reasons, to give all round visibility during operation and ensure that the
operator and any assistants are clear of the machine during rotation and
compression.
