As with most categories of sewing machines there are many different subclasses for various applications. Shown below are two most commonly used for applying decorative saddle stitching to leather products.

Twin needle post

LPW-28BL
  • An absolute must for saddle (twin needle) stitching cushions. Allows cushion to be presented over the post for easier handling.
  • Twin needle, compound feed/alternating pressers in various needle guages. Easily handles a wide range of materials and thread to M20.
  • Large bobbin (twice standard size)
  • 5.5mm stitch length
  • Back tack
  • Semi-automatic lubrication system

Angular stitching

LPW-28BLK

Encompassing all the features of the base machine, the LPW-28BLK has the additional facility of independently disengageable needle bars, permitting the operator to sew parallel lines of stitching, at any angle, away from the original lines of stitching, without cross over.

The simple to operate system allows the left and right needle bars to be disengaged independently of each other to allow the required change in direction whilst maintaining a stable stitch.
