At FMS we have heard all the reasons for replacement, and we can tell you not many are valid. At FMS we have been refurbishing customers tape edge units for 10 years, returning units, salvaged from flood and fire, or simply years of hard work, to their former production status.

Stripped back to bare metal, all units are inspected and where necessary repaired, then given a hard wearing application of powder coat paint. All component parts are inspected and where applicable replaced. The electrical system is completely overhauled. Motors are changed, switches and control equipment updated, wiring replaced. Refurbishment at FMS means refurbishment.

The sewing head, undergoes the same rigorous process, completely stripped of its parts, painted and then reassembled replacing worn or damaged parts with new OEM parts before going through a final bench test, alternatively we can supply a new sewing head produced by FMS in the UK.
